February 12 Trip from hell!Well, yesterday I got a call to go out of town. So I went to pick up the deck truck and decided to take it not realizing what was in store for me! So, I went and picked up the deck truck loaded up the Explorer and called my mother to see if she wanted to come for a drive. Hahahaha
It was good until we hit the outskirts of the Perimeter highway....Of course! Then as we drove further, I knew we were in for one helluva drive to better describe it. We were heading down the 59 North heading towards Grand Beach. The snow...Oh, the snow!!!! By the time we hit the 304 to turn onto the secondary road from hell, we were lucky to see 20 feet in front of us. Muhahahahahaahaha
Did i ever tell you how much i love my job? We hit that 304 and were lucky to be doing 50-60 kms an hour, for you Americans, that's about 30 miles an hour. We were heading to hick town nowhere!!!!!
 So we get to Powerview, Manitoba. Decided to go into a restaurant to grab a coffee and let me clear up my head for the drive back. That was the funniest shit ever. There were about 15 people in the rat hole restaurant and I was all in my camoflauge jacket trying to be inconspicuous.
The bunch of Red Necks all stopped what they were doing....Knowing we were Outsiders....Meaning we come from somewhere where there is actually civilization. Pretty comical. But after the coffee and my white knuckles back to their original color, we took the long trek home. Pretty good driving, I didn't hit the ditch. Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee-Hawwwwwwwwwww

January 12 Anyone have a smoke?Ok, Well now. I finally decided a month and a half ago to quit smoking those disgusting cigarettes that turn your mouth into a factory of pollution. You get my point? So I did. Cold turkey to boot! Bravo!!!!! LOL. Now, where was I... So like I said, it's been over a month that I stopped. I've been really good. I buy a cigar here and there, well maybe more there some days if that makes sense? I'll get to the point.
There are days where I cannot stand the smell of the cigarettes. And then there are days when I actually find myself drifting towards the smoke. Does your body actually miss it that much? I'm afraid so! The first 3 days of quitting was the most brutal... You looked at me in the wrong way and be prepared to run! LOL. No, actually I wasn't that bad, though I felt like I was having an out of body experience. I seriously felt like I was floating above my body and I wasn't on earth. It was great. hehe. I am however at that point to steer clear of touching a cigarette cause I know far too well what happens when you light that 1 single cigarette and let that disgusting nicotine flow through your body but I'll honestly say that I DO MISS THE STUPID THINGS!!!!!!!!
But be strong Dan... I now resort to lifting more weights than my body can handle and laugh like an idiot but that's what's been doing it for me. So anyone who is quitting or recently quit... YOU CAN DO IT! For all you that have tried and failed. LOSERS!!!! Hahahahahahahaha. Just kidding. Keep trying and you'll eventually pull it off!
Now I'm going to shut my yap and go lift some more weights!

 January 01 2009Well, where will 2009 bring us? All I know is I'm gonna have fun! I can remember years ago when I was a kid thinking...WoW, the year 2000 is so far away! LMAO. Well, why did it fly right by? We're in 2009! WTF? I've been blessed with a great life, have 3 of the greatest kids anyone could ask for, I'm healthier now than I've ever been in my entire life.
It is sad however, from some of the people that I speak to on here, how horrible their lives are and they still have the time and energy and they seem like the happiest people in the world! My hat is definately off to you. It just goes to show that no matter how bad you think you have it, there is always someone that has it worse off. Sad to say but it makes me realize how my problems are so tiny compared to the hell others go through! I've never been the best person to talk to, I used to hold everything inside until I would explode and that is my one resolutions that I swore would never happen again. I know that I am a much better person now and can think and focus on the positive things in my life now, instead of the negative.
I just had to thank some of you for making me keep my chin up through the rough times I've had over the past year. I'm so happy now it's disgusting and I feel it's my time to help others in need out. Maybe, I'm getting older and wiser but better late than never!
All the best wishes for everyone in 2009. This is going to be the start of the best years of my life!!!!!

Dan November 26 Listen to the words!O.K. Listen to the words to the song that's playing. That's exactly what I've been doing since all the crap went down and the divorce garbage. Yes, divorce sucks but I must say I'm thankful for 3 wonderful kids that I have and I'm finally really enjoying my life. Things are all falling into perspective. Thank god i have amazing friends and i keep meeting new ones! Life is too short to be angry for things that cannot be fixed. MOVE ON FOCKERS and leave your shit in the past! :)
On that note, I saved a cops life tonight. My shift was ending and I was heading for fuel. Our 2 lanes merge onto the highway at a light. The light turned green and thank God I was stopped. A semi couldn't stop. I saw him sliding, the cop car didn't see the truck because he was approaching the light and I was in the big truck, so I threw my truck in front of him. I'd rather him hit me than him getting hit by the truck. He was wondering wtf I was doing and then he saw the semi blaze through the light. He wiped his head, waved thank you and chased the truck down. That was my good deed for the day, to say the least. November 16 I'm not 18 anymore. :)Well, we decided to go out last night for a night on the town. Was having a blast until the shots kept coming and coming and coming... lol. To make a long story short, I was all lit up! Good times.

November 15 My new love!Wow! I just got my 94 Taurus SHO on the road. The car was stock pushing 270 Horse! This summer, I'm adding a supercharger to boost it to 430 Horsepower. I can't wait, we have so much planned for this car. We just installed my mp3 player today, running a 12" Sub and 2 Amps to bust out my ear drums! :) Next project is to tint the rear windows. I'll add more pic's as they come in. It's too dark out to get a good pic of the outside of the car but I'll have some posted tomorrow Fo SHO! lol

We went to Brandon to cover for our fleet down there and whoa, what a party to say the least. It started to snow on Thursday the day we went there but thank god we didn't get the snow they had forecasted for Brandon! It hit Winnipeg alot harder. So we got into town, checked into our hotel rooms and decided to go across the street to the local area ***** club to have a beer. Needless to say, our one beer turned into 9 or ten and then the action started. lol. Ya, I sort of have a big mouth even when I'm not drinking but I was having fun so why hold back. After I almost started a bar brawl with about 8 guys, we went outside, had a smoke with them and then the party began. Everyone was cool after we calmed down and then it was a night of fun. hahahahaha
I didn't realize how many women go there to just have a drink. We'll just leave it at that! lol. Bad bad bad! lol
Well, after our 2 nights of fun it was time to work. Remember now, all 3 of us that went are from Winnipeg and don't know Brandon all that well. So yeeee-haw, we were driving back to our office at around 11:00 Saturday night, all 3 of us in 3 different trucks, all in a row I might add. One of us and I'm not naming names, decided he knew Brandon well enough so I let him take the lead. Well, he was in a 60 zone where all 3 of us were doing 95 according to the cops that were coming in the opposite direction. The nice little blue and red lights came on, I slammed on the brakes and so did the truck behind me leaving the other truck to fend for himself. hahahahahahahaha. Well, to make a long story short, after the cops finished cursing every name in the book and let us go with a warning, we had learnt our lesson. The only reason they let us go is because we do all the work for the police down there. PHEW!!!! But anyways, one hell of a fun week-end and I'm looking forward to going back real soon! lol.

The next pic's are when a girl and a guy decide to go 4X4'ing in a 2 wheel drive truck down icy roads and take out a tree when they can't stop! I'm not sure if they ended up getting a ticket or not but they were on private property and Mr. Police Officer had the 2 of them in the car the whole hour it took us to recover the truck. :P
This next one is my buddy taking advantage of being paid by the hour. NOTE: Right after I took that pic, I slammed my 2 hands on the window and gave hime the wake up call from hell! He's 320 pounds, a big biker and man, did he ever jump like a little chicken! Ya, I ran for my life! :P

November 05 What a LifeYou know, just when you seem to think you have everything in life in order, you get a wakeup call and you realize what mistakes and bad judgements you made in life. Alot of things happen for a reason and why? I guess it shows you that you were an idiot and things could of gone a whole other way if they were just talked through instead of raising the hairs on your back. I've done alot of stupid things in my life and I'm sure there are alot more to come but wow, I have so many regrets some days! What if this?....What if that? Today was a wakeup call for me and I'll never put anyone through the crap I did again! Too much pride stood in my way and I'm not the kind of guy that can say what's on my mind when the time warrants it. But there you go, that is my mistake and I have to deal with it. I have alot of good friends now that I really count on and thank God, cause there are days like these when we all need a good friend to talk to. And I did just that today! Thank you. You know who you are! October 27 RestaurantsWell, Omg! So me and a buddy of mine decided to go eat lunch at a well known restaurant. Everything was fine until last night. I thought I was literally gonna die. The term food poisoning came to mind. lol. Just be careful where you go and eat! Our thoughts were, well.... we have 1/2 hr. for lunch so we'll grab something quick. It was quick alright! And people knock me when I eat and McDonald's and Burger King! Pffft. lol. I wouldn't wish what I went through last night on my worst enemy! Stick with McDonald's!!!!!!! hahahahahaha October 14 Lucy, I'm Home
Well, I've been away for quite awhile and decided to come back so I can harass some more
people. :P Just kidding, I had alot going on in my life that I had to deal with and I can finally say that it's all said and done. I just recently moved back to Winnipeg and working like a dog to get back on top of things. lol. I'll be updating my space in the next few days because hockey season has started again and I'm thrilled. hahahahahahaha
